The Roman Road Le Cateau 1914

Another game we played, this one is using To The Last Man rules.  The scenario is the BEF's defense of the Roman Road at the battle of Le Cateau during the British retreat from Mons.

Most of the figures are 28mm Great War Miniatures with a few Battle Honors to include the British 18Pdr Artillery Section (but with a mixture of GWM and HLBSC 28mm crews).  Also IIRC, a few Mutton Chop 28mm Infantry.  I played the British so most of the pictures are from my side of the battlefield.

We tried To The Last Man as part of our quest to find a good set of rules to play the early months of The Great War, at skirmish scale, up to possibly Company or Battalion level.  The rules were ok, really not designed for large games IMO.  Fire combat is done by individual figures as is movement from what I remember so a turn takes a very long time, or at least it did for us (there over 70 German Infantry).
